When will I receive delivery?
We offer next working day delivery to main land UK on all of our scanners and shredders. Accessories and consumables may take around 4-5 days. Orders placed after 15:30 will be delivered within 2 working days. Should we be out of stock or unable to deliver within these timescales we will contact you to inform you of the delay. Some scanners, due to their size, will require special delivery if you are unable to offer assistance to the driver. We will always contact you prior to delivery should this be the case.
I've since seen the product cheaper elsewhere, can you refund the difference?
Yes. We will guarantee to beat any other website price, or refund the difference should you see it cheaper elsewhere within 14 days of your purchase.
Please call us on 0870 443 8711 and we will beat any price.
Can I pay by invoice?
Yes, we're happy to arrange for payment to be sent by cheque or BACS and we will despatch your goods the day we receive your order. We will forward your invoice by email or post, which ever you prefer.
Can we lease scanners?
We offer a full range of finance options to suit your needs. Many of our products are listed with a typical finance example based on a three or five year term. Please contact us for the most competitive rates available at the time of your order. As with the cash price of our goods, we will compete to beat any finance offer you may find elsewhere.
What warranty do I get?
All products are UK supplied and include the full manufacturers' warranty. As a general guide, most products are supplied with 12 months next day onsite warranty. Please contact us for specific warranty information including extended warranty options.
Can the scanners be networked?
Most of the scanners need to be connected to a pc, this is usually by a USBII connection, although most of the mid to high volume Kodak scanners will connect via FireWire (card and cable supplied with the scanner). Their functionality is then controlled by the pc. Once documents are scanned they can then be emailed to another pc or saved on a shared drive across your network.
There are a couple of scanners that will connect directly to a network such as the Kodak ScanStation 100 or the Canon CD-4070NW. Or it may be possible to add a device that will convert your scanner to a network device. Canon supply the NSA-01 and Fujitsu make the Fi-5000N, although please contact us for details of which scanners these will work with effectively.
Alternatively, you can use a USB device server, which will act as a dedicated PC for the scanner which any user on the network can connect to and scan from. Installation is quick and easy, and it is very straight forward to use. For details on the USB device server products from Silex, please click here.
